The College-Glen Neighborhood Association/Foundation will host their annual meeting on Thursday, October 27th at 6:30 pm at the Station 60 Fire House, 3301 Julliard Drive (across from Raley’s). The Annual Report will focus on the status of the Police Observation Device (POD) cameras and include a detailed summary of the cost associated with the establishment of the CGNA Foundation, the collection of funds for the POD cameras, installation timelines for the College-Glen area PODs, and the CGNA Foundation’s plan for securing funds for our share of the long-term maintenance on the PODs. Light refreshments will be served starting at 6:30pm with socializing and a review of photos from the year’s events. We will be electing the officers and directors for both the College-Glen Neighborhood Association and the CGNA Foundation. The Association and Foundation will begin their reports at 6:45pm. Following the annual reports, we will hear from some of our elected representatives, members of the business community including the Folsom Boulevard Flea Market and the Power Inn Alliance, area academic leaders, members of the Sacramento Fire and Police Departments, Sacramento County Kiefer Plaza Probation Center, candidates for State Assembly-District 7, and the Los Rios Community College District Trustee-Area 7 candidates. CGNA Secretary and registered legislative advocate Rebekah Cearley will close with a legislative update. Each guest has been invited to take 3 to 5 minutes to address our community. Following the guest presentations we will have our customary community forum where everyone may ask questions of our guests.
